Forms — Ying Expo

Below are the forms needed to participate. These forms should be filled out in blue or black ink or typed, preferably, and turned into the student's teacher or "Adult Sponsor" BEFORE the student begins any experimentation.

If you are not sure which forms you need for your project, the ISEF "Rules Wizard" will guide you.

Overview of forms and dates. This is an overview of the forms and dates provided by ISEF. This is only a guide.

Rules for all projects. This must be read and documented in the bibliography by all students.

Use of generative AI to support a research project. Artificial Intelligence applications are evolving quickly and the Society for Science and the Regeneron ISEF Scientific Review Committee have created a table to indicate their guidance on when it is acceptable to use generative AI in the development and execution of a research project and how to properly cite this usage. The Ying Expo and the State of Florida may enact stricter guidelines in the future.

Changes to rules this year. These are the changes made to the rules and forms from previous years.

International Rules Companion Guide. This guidebook is designed to be used in conjunction with the official International Rules. In 2026, the International Rules were reorganized and streamlined, removing much of the guidance scattered throughout the document. This Guide takes this information as well as other supporting documents that have been created over the years and brings them all together in one updated and organized resource. Again, this is only a guide.

Florida State Rules supercede ISEF rules. All Florida students must follow these rules first.

These are “fillable” forms. You MUST download the form to your computer first. Then open the form on your computer, fill it out, save it, print it, etc. If you type on these forms, they will not save or print what you typed. You can also print them out, fill them in with blue or black ink, and then scan them to your computer.

The following forms must be filled out and submitted with the above required forms for entry into the Ying Expo and Florida State and Engineering Fair.
